Chit Chat

I've been a grouch today and it rubbed off on my kiddos. After 3 weeks of "total teach," my student teacher was absent today. Apparently the kids think they don't have to listen to me anymore. Sadly for them , that is not the case. Still, it doesn't feel good when your student is blatantly being defiant in front of her mother. Yeah, I clearly don't have control over your child. Sorry, I suck.

I've been working boatloads and today I found out I may or may not get paid for all my hard work on my November paycheck (which doesn't even come until the very last day of the month!). I might have to wait until the December paycheck. What's up with that? In what other profession do you have to wait two months to get paid? I'm going to Chicago for Thanksgiving and I want play money. I'm so glad the school district values my time enough to make the effort to pay me in a timely manner.

Did I mention my Offspring saw the new Depeche Mode video and insisted that we watch it because he likes the song? My son is so cool. Lsat night his costume was a dead army soldier (he just wanted to paint blood on his body). I wonder if the hippies in our neighborhood thought he was making a political statement(-:
