New Kid
There's a new kid at my school. He's not in my class but I'm helping his teacher with paperwork so I know him and the other kids in his class. Yesterday and today he took a cat that's been hanging around school, swung it by its tail, kicked it, and threw it at a teacher (all on separate occasions). Isn't that what serial killers do when they're kids? I'm afraid for his future. I took him outside this morning, held the cat, showed him how to pet the cat gently, how he purred when I was holding him, what soft touches looked like. I put the cat down and 2 minutes later he kicked it. Fuck.
Today, he roamed around the school (with teacher supervision) and hit two little girls as he passed them. Poor girls are now afraid of him and totally freaked out. He's hit other kids, stabbed a child with scissors and a pencil, and punched/kicked/spit on the T.A. What do you do with a kid like this? How do you teach a child to be loving, caring, a good person? Fuck.
I'm reminded how much I love my little duckilngs. They're sweet, loving, they want to please me, such angels.
I left school after a lengthy ARD I was helping with. I was supposed to be in class (grad school) at 1. I was already late and couldn't find ANY fucking parking. Goddamnit. I was so frustrated I finally gave up and now I'm home. Fine, fergit it!
