ACL day 2 & 3

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...after a long, hot shower I feel good.

So on Saturday I saw The Frames, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Death Cab for Cutie, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Real Heroes, Bloc Party, and Oasis. All good, especially Bloc Party. I thought Oasis sounded bad except for the song Noel sang (yeah, we're on a first name basis now. What?). I've seen What Made Milwaukee Famous at smaller venues like Tambaleo and Emo's so it was cool to see them at the big, bad ACL Fest.

Sunday was the best! And the hottest, I might add. I think it hit a record 108 degrees? For fuck's sake! My friend said her brains were scrambling a little bit. Anyway! We saw our friends Maneja Beto do a great show. Then M83, The Doves, The Bravery, and Arcade Fire. We took a break at Shady Grove for a margarita, and came back for more sizzle to watch Wilco and finally Coldplay. I love Coldplay but we were very far back and the sound was so-so. I would definitely like to see them at a real concert. Maybe they'll make up the cancelled Houston show???

I just had to call in sick tomorrow for class. I need a one-day weekend, at least! And I have a paper and an outline (for a bigger paper) due this week in grad school. So tomorrow I work...
