What's Going On

Woah...where did the time go? Let's see, what've I been up to? I went to Dallas last weekend and had a good time with my pregnant friend (it was her baby shower I went up for) and my pregnant cousin. Pregnant women are so cute! I bought some fabulous buttons to sew onto a couple jackets so they'll look less "Gap" and more "stylish and utterly original." We'll see.

My first classes are tonight. Applied Research and a Practicum. Should be interesting...although I already have a headache thinking about standard deviations, independent variables, and research designs. Yikes.

One of my parents called me today and asked how her son was doing. She then asks, "Is he learning anything?" It was funny. I was like, "Ummm...I think so!" What was a going to say: "Naaaahhh, we just hang out all day eating popcorn and watching t.v." That's a joke...we don't watch t.v. in my classroom. Except on an occasionally rainy-day-slash-Ms. Dennis-needs-a-breaky-break-during-what's-supposed-to-be-recess kind of day.

That's it...nothing much else. I'm still on my break from he-who-is-unable-to-tell-the-truth. I miss talking and hanging out but it's worth not feeling bad. Oh, and I have fun stuff planned for the weekend. The Lost Boys at Mr. Sinus theater, a brunch at my house with some lovely teachers, and a Live Burlesque show! Oh, and teaching Saturday school to 5th graders (ok, that part's not fun). OK, I'm off to plan lessons on division. Blech.
