My son got straight A's for the second reporting period in fifth grade and got perfect conduct grades.

My beloved student, "the thug," was in the middle of playing Cariboo today. Out of nowhere, he launches into a story about how his "dad" was choking his mom and then his mom started beating dad up and punching him and after that he ate pizza and it was burned so it didn't taste good. Yeah, good idea...kick each other's asses in front of your child with behavior problems, aggressive tendencies, and poor impulse control. Oh, did I mention the mom just had a baby about 2 weeks ago?

And we wonder why children turn to violence, drugs, and drop out of school? And we wonder why teenage boys beat up their girlfriends? And we wonder why black males comprise such a large portion of the prison population? And we wonder why?
