Inclusion is killing my soul.
Inclusion is killing my soul.
Just kidding, it just sounded so dramatic! What is killing me is that I can't make it work at my school. I can't figure out how to give my 3-year-olds what they need, while providing inclusion with typically developing peers (of which we only have PK kids to choose from and they're all a year older), while trying to explain (unsuccessfully) to the needs-to-retire-tomorrow PK teacher that what she teaches is not developmentally appropriate for any child after the year 1956, while trying to make the "numbers" work so we stop being on our district's RED list, while trying to follow IDEA, while trying to do what's best for children (what?). It's driving me mad.
